30 Day At Home Meditation Retreat
Dear ones,
From March 2nd - March 31st, I have decided to facilitate an experimental informal 30 day “at-home” meditation retreat for those seeking to build discipline & accountability around their morning meditation practice. We will meet every morning for 30 days, at 8am ET.
Please note: This is meant to be an accessible & “by donation” style experience. If the donation options are not manageable right now, email me meetingmyselfagain@gmail.com — we will figure something out together!
We will start with twenty minute “sits”, building up to 60 minutes in the final week. The hardest part of developing a meditation practice is often getting your butt on that meditation cushion!! This group is structured in such a way to gently build one’s practice, over the course of a month.
Week 1 — 20 minute sits
Week 2 — 30 minute sits
Week 3 — 40 minute sits
Week 4 — 50 minute sits
Week 5 — 60 minute sits
Time: 8am ET
Location: Zoom (live, unrecorded, recurring link)
What to expect?
An Intention Setting Worksheet
Understand limiting beliefs related to expansion
Raise consciousness regarding consistency issues (i.e. what prevents me from showing up imperfectly & how can I disrupt this pattern)
Set clear actionable goals
Create a values-based “why statement”
Brief morning check-in (optional) — one sentence or word in the chat regarding how you’re doing
20-60 minutes of shared silence depending on the week
You may listen to your own guided meditation while on mute
You may arrive off camera or on camera
Participants are encouraged to:
Use the time to establish morning rituals which are accessible to you, for example, lighting candles, burning incense, brewing coffee & “morning pages”
Find personal ways to create accountability to the practice (ex: doing the challenge with a friend, showing up on camera, habit stacking, see it as non-negotiable self-care etc.)
Meditate sitting up rather than lying down
Show up imperfectly
Be sure to check your spam for the zoom link!!!
See you in March,
xx Hannah
Please note: I may choose to gently facilitate a guided meditation some mornings, or to share a practice with you. Other mornings I will be silent myself. You are always welcome to follow along, or engage in your own private practice.
